Stamping Art for Kids
These household materials are so FUN for stamping with paint!
1. Stamp with Duplo LEGOs. Basically as easy as it sounds – grab some paint and LEGOs. Then use the LEGOs to stamp circle patterns.
2. Celery! Cut at the base! At this time your celery is perfect to stamp to make roses!
3. Water bottles – use the opening to stamp circles
4. Pompom on a clothespin! Generally my kids love stamping with anything new and different – pompoms are a fun way to mix it up!
5. Bubble wrap – tape it down, paint on the bubble wrap, and then press paper against the bubblewrap to make a print.
6. Potato prints – cut in half and stamp away! Using food to stamp is different from the typical paint brush, which makes this high interest!
7. Cookie cutter stamping – makes really cute wrapping paper, too! Coupled with the novelty of making this themed for ANY holiday, cookie cutter stamping is an all time favorite here!
8. Apple Stamping – cut apple in half and stamp on paper! Certainly a favorite here every fall!
9. Leaf Stamping – color a leaf with marker and press it down.
10. Fork Stamping – use a disposable or regular fork! Super fun way to paint tulips or freely explore stamping!

13. Shoe stamping – stamp with old shoes to explore making footprints
Painting for Preschoolers
14. Nature paint brushes – try painting with a leafy branch or tape grass on a stick to make a natural paint brush.
15. Q Tip Painting – such a fun and easy way to mix up painting for kids! This is my kind of easy kids’ craft!
16. Ice Painting – use ice cubes or freeze a baking dish with water. Paint with water colors for a cool effect as the ice melts, or use any washable you have on hand!

17. Giant murals are so much for an easy kids’ craft – we love to create one together as a family. You can buy the large butcher paper in the craft aisle at Walmart or on Amazon.
New Painting Projects for Kids!
18. Mosaic bean painting is so fun! Hot glue the beans onto cardboard, and let your child paint when dry! If you prefer, they can also glue on the beans with regular glue!
19. Tin Foil Painting – the paint goes on so smoothly!
20. Black Glue Art – Mix black paint with a partially used bottle of glue. We used washable acrylic paint, but you can use whatever liquid paint you have on hand! Draw images with the black glue, let it dry, and then paint or color in the images.
Black glue art is a great easy kids’ craft, because the glue creates a really neat texture. We love this one!
21. Cotton ball painting – clip cotton balls on clothespins and have fun painting! This is super easy and uses materials you may already have on hand!
It can be a bit gloppy and sloppy, so keep wet rags nearby! Totally worth the mess!
22. Car Painting – dip car wheels in the paint and them explore making tracks! Wonderful, messy fun!!

23. DIY puffy paint is such a fun, easy kids’ craft!! Mix 1:1 ratio glue and shaving cream. Add food coloring to create colors.
24. Shaving cream pumpkin painting! This is a favorite of ours every fall! Mix shaving cream with food coloring and paint onto pumpkins – when you’re done kids can wash the pumpkins in soapy water!
No Mess Crafts for Kids
25. Paint mixing sensory bags! Pour paint into gallon bags, seal shut, and tape to the table or window for your child to explore. I like pouring in the primary colors, so kids can explore mixing and see what colors they create.
26. Giant coloring page – Tape down paper, draw images with black marker, and set out supplies for your child to color!
27. Shape building with toothpicks and marshmallows.
Calming Crafts for Kids
28. Pipe cleaner threading! String beads onto pipe cleaners – explore patterns or just have fun creating!
29. Magic Painting (crayon resist art) – draw images or letter in white crayon (press firmly!!) and then invite your child to paint with water colors to reveal the images!

Gross Motor + Active Crafts for Kids
31. Snow Painting – Fill a bin with snow, fill cups with water + food coloring, and get out pipettes/eye droppers. Let your kids explore painting images, mixing colors, etc.!
32. Chalk Roads: Draw chalk roads on the side walk! Bring out cars and drive around the world you’ve drawn together!
Messy Outdoor Crafts for Kids
33. Color Mixing with Dyed Water: Add paint to bins of water! Mix well and let kids explore color mixing. The colors are so vivid!!
34. Squirt Gun Painting
Tape the paper to a vertical surface outdoors – we used a fence. Pour water and washable paint into the squirt gun (a squeeze top paint bottle is easiest for this!), and then shake to mix the paint and water.
Cardboard Box Crafts for Kids
35. Make a Box Car – invite your child to decorate a box to be a train, car, submarine, or rocket!
36. Make an animal habitat – invite child to decorate the inside or a small shipping box or shoe box to make a jungle, farm, ocean, or other habitat for animal figures.
37. Bubblewrap stamping – tape bubblewrap to the side of a box, and use the box to stamp the bubblewrap texture on paper.
38. Build a Skyscraper Sculpture
Collage Projects for Kids
39. Tissue paper collage frame – use a canvas and apply tissue paper squares with modge podge. Add a photo at the end! Makes a super cute gift!
40. Letter collage – cut letters out of magazines! Can build words, build the alphabet, or sort by letter and glue on butcher paper!
41. Cereal art – froot loops, cheerios, or any round cereal is fun for making collage pictures!
